This morning my boss came in my office with a horrified look on her face and said, “Rebecca, how many more Fridays do I have you?” To be honest, I had not thought about it, so we looked at the calendar. When she realized how many Fridays I had left, she said that she would try to glue me to my desk. For anyone who has a job they love and a group of people who they truly enjoy working with, it is such a blessing to know that they don’t want you to leave. It also brought in sharp relief how little time I have left here. My heart started pounding–but not for the reasons you might think. You might think that I was worried, but just the opposite happened. I became even more excited about what God has in store for me, Dwight, and our boys.
My anticipation grows with the unknown drawing closer. I know a lot of people would be apprehensive, and there is a little bit of that, but it is hard to explain how joyous we are to be in this position. We are out there on the edge–depending on God–and while we are working towards certain goals, there are all sorts of unknown variables which will be answered in time. God’s time. And I love that!
So, having said this, I need to get back to work as I have an Update to edit.
